The Palmetto Heroes Program is kicking off! This is a program provided by a joint effort of the SC State Housing Authority and Homeowners Mortgage. The scoop? It's a loan program targeting police officers, firefighters, veterans, nurses, teachers, EMS professionals. There are two categories of down payment assistance: $5000 given to the borrower for down payment, one plan is forgivable over time, the other repayable over time. And, the rate is gold! 3.75% Yeah, you heard me.
